So yeah. I’m… not sure when my last post was. A long time ago. Last year sometime…

But hey how’s life??

Okay, so I thought, new year, might as well try again, and keep some form of sanity behind school. Not that I’m going insane, but being a really unmotivated person, I tend to lag behind with art…

But yeah, so christmas definitely passed as did new year.

October expo went too… I hugged a Sanji and and and then i waved when he was leaving and and and then he blew me a kiss and I think I might die happy now

Haha no I’m not quite that sad anymore but it did make me very happy good cosplayers always brighten your day. Especially when it’s a cosplayer like that Sanji

I think I went in just normal clothes for expo… first time round XD at least, first time where I wasn’t attempting a cosplay…

Anyone see the solar eclipse today?? I was gonna go down to the school for it, but having to get a train at 7:30 was too much… I had ortho anyway… But I saw it as the fog rolled in on my way to ortho so it’s all good

Urk I’m so tired… School starts tomorrow and it’s just waaaaaay too much effort…

What I’m drawing at the moment. Because I do GCSE Art. OTL

Okay, so life’s been hectic recently (haha. haha. ha.)

A bit of awesomeness and a bit of absolute crapness but overall

life’s been good.

And I finished my biology and my english coursework~~

and I’m handing english in on Monday~~

And Biology got handed in like 2 fridays ago ;D

Why?

Work experience ftw ;D

Yeah, we year 10′s have been on work experience for the past like, 2 weeks. I went to WHSmith because, ORIGINALLY I wanted to work in waterstones (being a book-obsessive) but they wouldn’t hire me, so I went to the next best place and got hired there ;3

But yeah, so I’ve been working at WHSmith for the past two weeks, and you know what? Screw waterstones, I’m working in WHS guys ;D

Partly because I know the people who work there now, partly because I like keeping everything in a nice order, partly because it’s easy to get to, and partly because I just love the environment there ;D

But yeah, twas a laugh and really fun, and I’m going back after school next week to harass them some more.

Because I refuse to wait till I’m 16 to get a job there… (15 wtf >x<)

But yeah, my best achievement is reorganising the kids’ books (5-teen) alphabetically in the stockroom, doing the table with the dictionaries on it (I carried them all hahaha~~) and the education section. Which was already a little messed up the next day OTL

But overall, I actually loved it, and I’m defo gonna work there. I think, if I ever live in London, I’ll work at the waterstones there, but not for now. WHS ftw ;3

But yeah.

Anyway, it was my last day yesterday. And on monday I go back to school for three days. And then it’s summer holidays~~

But yeah :3

Urgh, I have three pictures to finish for art DX I’ve nearly finished one, the other is kinda like a third of the way through, and the last one…

It’s not gonna be finished. I’m not even gonna hope. I mean… Just… OTL

Either way, yeah.

Then, the best thing I’m watching right now? Kuroshitsuji Season 2 (Monoshitsuji)

Sequel to Kuroshitsuji, which, when I first heard that it was gonna be another butler/master duo as the main characters, caused a massive *rage* spaz from me. But then I watched the first episode and omg I am a happy fangirl ;3

No, but despite the fact that it airs on a thursday, it’s still my weekend show (K-On!! (second season fluff ftw haha) airs on a wednesday, so I either watch it mid week or at the weekend with my weekend show) because the SUBBERS take SO FREAKING LONG *rage*

Anyway, that’s it from me. I’m still going slow with everything, because once summer starts I have to do my old project again and go over it >x<

And I WILL get a job over the summer. I refuse not to :I

Hey, yeah, I’m doing coursework. And revision. Yup. Not blogging. I’m revising. Sure am.

No, but seriously.  Coursework is just plain depressing…

I mean, so far I’ve done physics and chemistry. But I’ve got biology and TWO for english to do. I mean come on…

Most horrible thing ever…

… When we heard we weren’t going to get our physics coursework back because someone in the other class phoned school and complained DX

I swear, I was gonna cry… O^O

Buuuuuut we got them back, and I was like, “… omg I luv you courseworkkkkkkkkkk”

And then he showed me my mark and took it back OTL

So yeah. I got 36 outta 40 though, which I’m kinda happy about ^^~

And I got… 21 outta 24 (i THINK that was it…) for chemistry.

Then again, EVERYONE got 21 for the chemistry hahaha XD

But what can you say

Omg, I actually laughed so hard. I was cleaning out an old shelf yesterday, and I found my FIRST EVER draft of my book. I’m gonna have to type it up because it’s so hilariously bad, I want to keep it XD

Example:

“It’s not like you wake up one morning and… BANG! You suddenly realise that bath-time isn’t just a chore (unless you want to be unhygienic)…”

My dad and I were just laughing for about five minutes. And this was only half way through the intro page hahaha XD

But yeah. When I’ve typed it up I might upload it here (:

By the way, please keep in mind that I wrote that at around the age of 11/12. My writing’s a lot better now I’m glad to say… ^^”

Oh and while I’m thinking about it, book reviews.

I’ve got so many books piled up that are just waiting to be reviewed. The thing is, I read too fast. I can’t keep up with myself DX

I definitely want to review Life as we knew it. There’s a whole load of books I want to review, but I can’t remember them any more. But that was the one I was gonna review after I got back from spain.

I think I’d also like to review My Sister’s Keeper, which I read while I was there and when I got back (:

I also just finished reading The Dead-Tossed Waves, a zombie book. It’s the sequel (or rather, companion) to The Forest of Hands and Teeth, which I don’t think I ever reviewed. I might have mentioned it in passing though.

Either way, there’s a lot of really good books which want to be reviewed. And I will review them (:

But yeah.

I finished reading The Dead-Tossed Waves this morning, actually. It was really good, but I have to be honest and say that I thought the writing was better in The Forest of Hands and Teeth. The plot was just as interesting and intricate (probably more complicated than the first book) but the way it was written was… I’m not sure how to say it. Kind of un-impact-like.

No that’s wrong :/

I think the thing that kind of made it not as good was that there wasn’t any proper shape to how the writing flowed. That’s the only way I can explain to be honest. Like, the chapter endings were flat a lot of the time (I was constantly re-writing them in my head) and things were repeated in awkward ways. I can’t explain it, I’d have to show you the book (which unfortunately I can’t do because it just got returned to the library OTL)

It wasn’t smooth enough, I guess.

But it was still really good. I’m still eagerly waiting for the next one (spring next year… D: not even funny…)

By the way, if anyone has any suggestions for books to read, do tell. Just leave a comment :3

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness.

I think I might have mentioned it and/or the sequel, but the third one is out now. And it’s my birthday in just under two weeks…

The Thin Executioner is also out, which I started reading in WHS. I swear that’s gonna go in my bookshelf whether it likes it or not

I actually love Darren Shan’s books. I have the last 3 of his Demonata series. And I’m gonna collect the new series too :3

But yeah. And then there’s Burned from the House of Night series. I have the whole series so far, so no questions asked >w<

I’m actually crushed at how much god hates me. No offence if you’re religious… >.<

But yeah. So basically, spain was AWESOME.

I think I ate about twice my body weight in food every single day, but there you go… >.<

Despite the HUGE amounts of food they eat, it was really nice (the food I mean)

And really hot D:

But yeah. We were there for the week, and when we came back, I got ill. Which is why I didn’t post a “I’m back Spain was awesome” post.

And then I spent the two week of half term doing coursework (had to build a telescope :O really fun but so hard XP) and other work. And then we got back to school and three days in I was ill again. And then we had a week of exams. And then we had a week full of more coursework. And then this week. Where I managed to do some and most of it

And I got ill like… 3 freaking times D:

Once before spain, once after, and once after half term XP

which is why god hates me hahahaha

Sadly, art still isn’t finished though OTL

If you ever have the choice, and you like free time and a social life, don’t do art gcse. I’m not kidding. Just… don’t. Unless you really like art and think you can handle it. But I’m just warning you >.<

But yeah. So that’s why I haven’t been posting recently. I feel bad about it and heck I missed it too

But yeah. Loads of stuff happened. Some of which I can’t mention right now because it’s a little bit awkward and personal :/

I haven’t blogged for a while… again…

Things have been hectic recently.

Example: we leave for Spain on Saturday; it is possible that BA are going on strike that day. AND we’re going through the NEKKID security!!

And then, the first Monday back, my art course is due in. And then the Thursday back, my astronomy coursework is due in.

And I have to build a telescope for that. And then do a written report on how I built it. AND do something with observations but I haven’t decided what yet…

Instead I’ll be in sunny Barcelona~

(I bet you it’ll rain. I AM a bad luck charm after all…)

But at least my spanish is improving by the day.

Although, if our flight IS cancelled, at least I get an extra week to do my astronomy and art XD

And I get to go to London with people, ’cause they’ve got their German exchange partners over the week we’re visiting our Spanish exchange partners.

Only thing I really didn’t like was the “earth” scenes. Basically, if it wasn’t in Wonderland, it wasn’t good.

But it did seem kinda plain and simple at some parts. Under-acted, maybe…

Ironically (I think??? Can never remember when it’s irony or just coincidence…) it’s a book about the moon.

Like, I think it’s a dystopian (opposite of utopia, you’ll have to look it up. Too lazy to explain, sorry guys ) but I’m not too sure yet. Still seems pretty interesting

I only got it out ’cause I like the first chapter. Had no blurb, so you know

It’s called Life as We Knew it, by Susan Pfeffer.

But yeah. I recently finished a book called Dark Fire, which is the most recent book in the Fire series by Chris d’Lacey, but I’m not gonna review it :/

Ditto The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan

Oh, and anyone heard of Darren Shan? Genius writer, wrote the PROPER vampire series which came BEFORE TWILIGHT (they are my vampires, ’cause they don’t sparkle or live forever. They burn and die. It makes more freaking sense….) and a series on demons, generally refered to as The Demonata (series). His vampire series is called The Saga of Darren Shan.

Both of those series have finished now. I’ve read all the books from both series’. Definitely up there on the favourites list

Oh, and another good book(s) is The Knife of Never Letting Go. It’s part of the Chaos Walking Trilogy, but so far only that and the sequel are out (btw, the sequel is good too ). Not for everyone, because it IS a bit hard to read for some, but try it anyway. (dystopian, btw :3)

Anyway, gonna go now guys. Just realised that half of the post has turned into book suggestions. Oh well.

Because I’m tired of doing it D:

I’m behind, I have a week less than everyone else in my class (except for a few individuals) because I’m on the spanish exchange, and I have to do like 10-20 pictures for the 29 of march. :/

AND I have to do astronomy coursework for the same week. Which is to build a telescope and record some stars from my house.

BUT, for my next art project I want to base my work off Sioux’s paintings. They’re really pretty

But I can’t find any info about her anywhere D:

But yeah. I got a few, but they’re really small :/

Oh well, I don’t have to think about that until a little bit after easter. Or end of April. Or something…

Okay, so I just wanted to point out how pretty sharp anime is. I mean… LOOK AT IT!!!

I love it when you start an episode, wait for it to buffer, then when it starts you put it on full screen and are greeted by a SUPER sharp image. It makes the episode so much better

We spent the day in london (got blisters owwww) then spent Tuesday together AND then went on a group outing with people from my school to london again~~

So awesome

(Obviously, I didn’t do ANY work…)

But yeah. And then I lazed around and then crammed in some art on the sunday…

… And went back on monday.

When we had a maths test.

SCREWEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

So yeah.

My original plan for half term was: laze around the first weekend, spend monday (londonnnnnn~~) and Tuesday with Rikki, go to london with people on Wednesday, do art for the rest of the time, sprinkled with a bit of biology and some maths revision.

What ACTUALLY happened: lazed around the first weekend, spent monday (londonnnnnnnnnn~~) through to Wednesday (londonnnnnnnnnnnn again ) with Rikki (and Maz and Jess and people on the Wednesday haha ), lazed around thursday through to saturday, did 1 picture (which took 2 freaking hours because I did it all in fineliner… DX ) for art and no maths revision or anything whatsoever…

So when I went into school on monday, not having revised for the maths test, I was doomeeeeedddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

and screweddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

and curseddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

and just generally fated to FAILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!

Which I actually didn’t, I just got, like, a really crappy mark…

Although apparently there’s a guy who’s in a higher set than me who got a lower mark than most people in the bottom set… (set 1 = best at maths (they are all super super smart!!), set 5 = uh, not the best at maths (they’re not the worst though, because we are a boffin school :3 ))

(I’m in set 3… just about )

So yeah :/

But still, half term went too quickly D:

But on monday, I wore a skirt (I know, I’m a girl, but I don’t like skirts much, so I usually wear trousers. I also have shoulder bags, so there’s the issue of trying to keep my skirt down…) and it was REALLY windy.

(I seriously doubt my ability to make rational decisions…)

And then upon entering the school, I

walked through the gates

walked along the corridor

walked up the path (while holding down my skirt with one hand, while juggling my bags and art folder at the same time…)

stepped of a slab

which tipped

and threw mud and grit on me.

NOT a good start to the day.

I had to spend ten minutes in the loos trying to wipe as much of it off as I could before form time.

(luckily, it only went on my tights… :/)

Still made my tights all mottled until i got enough time to wipe them down with water…

Urgh…

But oh well~~

I cleverly managed to walk into a wall today… :/

I was in a daze after having done bunny hops (if you don’t know what they are, look ‘em up! I’m too lazy to explain…) for a minute. It’s actually really hard D:

But yeah.

Badminton tomorrow~~

Badminton club’s been off since like november because of exams, but now the gym is free again so I managed to get it back on~

I missed badminton, especially trying to hit the shuttle haha

I’m always late, even though I’m the one who started it…

Oh yeah. Girl in my class wanted to be mentioned, so yeah.

Her name’s Montse, she’s in my class, and she’s the shortest person in our year (good thing, not bad btw)

So yeah.
